Job Description:
What You’re Looking For We know there are two sides to this relationship. We’ll start by explaining what you can look forward to if you accept a Residential Service Electrician position with Turn It On Electric. Turn It On Electric is a company built on the belief that if we take care of the customer, they’ll take care of us. Our goal is to grow the service side of our business, so we can continue to pay above market rate, reward our employees, and invest in each team member’s personal growth and development. Whether you’re on a construction project or servicing our customers you know you’re helping us achieve this goal. We offer: - A positive, upbeat, forward-thinking culture. We do things differently than other electricians in Phoenix. - A fully stocked service truck. No more running around town picking up supplies. - Company provided technology. Enjoy the use of an iPhone and iPad. - Training and ongoing personal and professional development. We know you want to grow as a Service Electrician and make more money doing it. - Open communication and real-time feedback. - A team that works closely together to complete projects. - Little oversight of the work you’re doing. We’ll be picky about the finished product, but how you get there is up to you as long as you’re not taking short cuts and it’s up to code. - $24 - $30 per hour, depending on experience. - Paid holidays, paid time off, 401k, and health sharing. What You’re Responsible For Being a Residential Service Electrician isn't about pulling cable and correctly hooking up power – although that is a part of the job. You'll be responsible for making sure the customer receives 5-star service every step of the way. To succeed in this position, you must: - Be an experienced electrician with 3-5 years of experience in the field. - Have at least 2 years experience as a service electrician - Have your own hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, socket set, hammer, small drill & bits, and tester. - Be neat, presentable, and professional. The way you present yourself is a direct reflection on Turn It On Electric. You know the importance of first impressions. - Be customer service oriented. This is more than putting in a good day’s work. You’re willing to go out of your way to deliver excellent service to all of our customers. - Be positive. We all know a few “Negative Nellies.” We do our best to build a team of positive thinking people. We know you’ll have a bad day once in a while and we’ll work through it. Overall your outlook about the career you’ve chosen should be a positive one. - Be able to communicate professionally with our customers. They may have electrical needs outside of the work you’re there to complete. Being able to speak with them about it and upsell them on additional service work is part of the job. Here’s a short list of some of the things that you’ll do on a regular basis: - Provide amazing service to our customers. - Make a positive contribution to our culture. - Encourage and support your teammates. - Operate any hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary to get the job done correctly. - Effectively communicate the status of jobs you’re working on with the office and your team. - Accurately complete all job-related paperwork. - Leave the job site cleaner than you found it. - Follow the electric code and do your job properly and safely. - Bend conduit correctly and without wasting. - Safely work from heights. - Use your knowledge of NEC. - What We’re Looking For We’ll start by sharing what we’re not looking for. We're not looking for someone who wants to punch a clock and do enough to get the job done quickly. We’re not looking for someone who is satisfied with the status quo. At Turn It On Electric, our electricians go out of their way to make sure the final product is of the quality our customers deserve – even if something was done incorrectly by someone else, we correct it! To make sure you'll fit in with our team, it's important you understand who we are and what drives us. Continue reading and if you think you'd be an excellent fit for our team, make sure to apply today! We’re always looking for the right people who want to grow with us as we expand our commitment to our customers. Own Your Work. It means never saying "it's not my job." As the Electrician, you're responsible for the finished product, even if someone else didn’t do it correctly before you. Respect Others & The Process. Everyone brings value to the team and the work we provide. The electricians at Turn It On Electric believe we have a level of quality to deliver that is a notch above the rest. You’ll know that you’re part of a larger team. We all work together to take care of our customers. When we respect the processes we know that we’re protecting our company and our customers. Love What We Do. This must be more than a job. You have to love the work we do, the customers we serve, and the difference we make. The electricians at Turn It On Electric provide the service our customers pay for. You’re always looking for ways to do better, be better, and deliver better. You want every experience to be a 5-star experience, even when we mess up. If you don’t love the work we do, love the customers we serve, and love being a part of a team then this isn’t for you. Details Matter. As an experienced electrician, you know the importance of details. You've also experienced the negative consequences associated with missing the details. We work in an industry where people can die if we don't pay attention. You’re proud of the work you do and excited to pay attention to the seemingly minute details to deliver a better product than the competition. Remember One Thing At Turn It On Electric, we’re here to give our customers a remarkable experience. Our founder started Turn It On Electric because he believed there was a better way to serve our customers and that we could do it better while remaining competitive. He knew there were too many customers not getting what they paid for when they needed electrical service work.
