Minerals Technologies Inc. is a resource- and technology-based company that develops, produces and markets worldwide a broad range of specialty mineral, mineral-based and synthetic mineral products and related systems and services. The Company has four reportable segments: Specialty Minerals, Performance Materials, Refractories and Energy Services. The Specialty Minerals segment produces and sells the synthetic mineral product precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC), mines mineral ores and processes and sells natural mineral products, primarily limestone and talc. This segment's products are used principally in the paper, building materials, paint and coatings, glass, ceramic, polymer, food, automotive and pharmaceutical industries. Specialty Minerals Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Minerals Technologies, Inc. has an opening for a Maintenance “A” Electrician at our plant in Adams, MA. Successful candidate will work under limited supervision and perform varied maintenance duties necessary to ensure continuous operation of the production facilities. Incumbent must be skilled in multi-trades to handle emergencies and to perform routine maintenance work. Skills may include piping, welding, millwright work, electrical work, instrumentation repair, etc. To be considered for this position the right candidate is required to have knowledge of the National Electrical Code, electrical skills, basic mechanical skills of industrial equipment / systems and basic computer skills are preferred. In addition, the incumbent must be able to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all phases of electrical components/systems effectively, read and draw wiring schematics/diagrams, run pipe and wire to new and existing systems, remove and install electric drive components, acquire and maintain proper electrical supplies, and work with high voltage power supply. Candidates must also have the ability to use mechanical skill/knowledge such as welding, use of pipe threading machines, band saws, hand tools and drills. A high school diploma is required as well as an Electrician’s License and up to five years’ experience in an electrical environment.
