Electrical Conveyor Technician- Industrial Electrician Employer Information Organization Name: ASBECO Website: www.asbeco.com Job Department: Operations Reports to: General Manager Job Location: State: Virginia City: Sterling FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Purpose: Install, adjust, repair and maintain conveyor systems Experience: Industrial Electrical Installation experience is preferred Material Handling Installation experience is preferred Supervisory Responsibilities: None General Skills: • Active Learning- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. • Active Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. • Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. • Service Orientation- Actively looking for ways to help people. • Judgment and Decision Making- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Technical Skills: • Conveyor and/or Dematic sorter preferred * Low Voltage preferred * Electrical Journeyman preferred Tasks: • Installing power supply wiring and conduit such as: EMT, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, cable trays • Troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems such as: switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, and conveyor systems • Testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as volt / ohm meters to ensure compatibility and safety of system • Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes • Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem Additional Requirements: • Must be reliable and have available transportation to get to job sites • Must be willing to take direction and work in a team environment
