Job Description:
Licensed Electrical Technician U.S. FACILITIES, INC. a consolidated facility management service, is seeking Licensed Electrical Technicians to join our team in the Charlotte, NC area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assembly, build, re- fab and modify a wide range of electrical/mechanical equipment. Key Responsibilities: • Perform work with a minimal amount of supervision assemble, build, re-furbish and modify a wide range of electrical/mechanical equipment. • Able to read production lists (parts list), assembly drawings, schematics, wire run lists, engineering folders, production notes and specifications to determine established assembly methods. • Aligns, fits, and assembles component parts and or assemblies into completed units, using hand tools, power tools, and various documents such as production lists, assembly drawings, and lists. • Maintain a safe working environment on and around the production floor. • Assist in the assembly of prototype and production work • Keep the Production Manager apprised of any condition that is not within standards. • Periodically on call and able to work overtime • Perform other duties and responsibilities when required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required • Knowledge of low and medium voltage systems, equipment, substations, and primary power distribution. • Knowledge of National Electrical Code, NFPA-70E, OSHA 10-30, and the National Electrical Safety Code. • Ability to use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, install, replace, and test medium and low voltage electrical circuits and equipment. • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade. • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical controls, industrial motor control centers, and programmable logic controllers for both primary and secondary systems. • Ability to lead and/or train staff. • Ability to read both commercial and industrial electrical blueprints and apply NEC, NFPA-70A, NESC, and OSHA 10-30 through the full range of commercial and industrial maintenance and construction work. • Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures. • Ability to install and maintain motors, welding equipment, lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers, and transformers as appropriate to the position. • Ability to isolate and repair defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment. Key Qualifications and Skills: • 2+ years’ assembly experience in the electronics industry or a manufacturing environment. • Good electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills • Must have valid driver’s license • Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check • Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English. • Able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis. • Must have good manual dexterity with small parts and hand tools. • Familiarity with the practice of safe work skills in a manufacturing environment. • Physically able to perform repetitive motion and stand for periods of time
