PLANT OPERATIONS TECH III - JOURNEYMAN OR MASTER ELECTRICIAN Cody Regional Health · PLANT OPERATIONS Cody, WY Support Services Full Time (80 pp), Days Posted 07/18/2022 Req # 3846 JOB TITLE: Plant Operations Tech III – Journeyman or Master Electrician DEPARTMENT: Plant Operations REPORTS TO: Facilities Director JOB SUMMARY Maintain, inspect, repair, and install hospital electrical equipment, and communication systems. Includes emergency generators and associated switchgear and support equipment, 480 volt and lower distribution equipment including motor control centers, and automatic transfer switches and control devices such as Variable Frequency drive units. Also responsible for installation of new circuitry for lighting and convenience circuits. JOB REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent preferred. As an Electrician you must have an active Wyoming Journeyman or Master Electrician’s license or able to obtain an Electrical License through Wyoming shortly after hire EXPERIENCE Three or more years of equivalent experience, specialized knowledge and/or certification and/or licensure as an Electrician · Exhibit high moral standards to reflect the attitude of the facility. · Exhibit personal conduct in accordance with the behavior standards expected of a leader. · Has the ability to work cooperatively with employees and administrative staff. · Exhibit personal hygiene and appearance, including attire, which reflects professional stature. · Communication skills, conflict resolution skills, tact are important. · Judgement must include the ability to make rapid, accurate short and long-term decisions under pressure. · Must be highly motivated and exhibit a positive attitude towards the mission of their department and the facility as a whole. · Must possess the ability to work independently and as a team player. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Specialized knowledge in electrical construction. Maintain a valid driver’s license during period of employment. Must hold and maintain a valid active Wyoming Journeyman or Master Electrician license or able to obtain an Electrical License through Wyoming shortly after hire ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Work in all areas of the facility. · Subject to frequent interruptions. · Must be willing to work beyond normal hours and in other positions temporarily when necessary. · Attend and participate in continuing education programs. · Required to attend all department meetings. · Required to be available for emergency situations. · Serves on various committees of the facility as required by appointment by the Facility Director. · Required to be part of On Call rotation. · Must be familiar with potential hazards, e.g. bloodborne pathogens, hazardous and infectious wastes, chemicals, etc. · Must have working knowledge of electrical generation, boiler systems, fire alarm and signal systems. · Must be knowledgeable of safe working practices including the use of power equipment. · Maintain records of tests, quality control and all pertinent information as it relates to department. · Develop and maintain a good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel within the entire facility. · Pick up and deliver supplies for various departments, in town and out of town. · Maintain a safe and clean environment in the departments for patients and employees. · Maintain QI records, records of tests and all pertinent information required within the department. · Utilize computers, email and software including, but not limited to, Word, access controls and HVAC control. · Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with facility wide and departmental policies and procedures. · Actively participates in CRH Compliance Program, demonstrates compliance with required laws and regulations, and ensures departmental compliance with regulatory requirements. · Actively participate in hospital mandatory education programs/in-services. · Meet attendance policy requirements. · Exercise independent judgment and discretion when carrying out the essential functions of this position.
